Easy Salted Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) heavy cream
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) water
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp (55 g) unsalted butter, cubed, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp fleur de sel salt
Preparation
Heat the cream on the stove to steaming and set aside.
In a saucepan, pour in the water, followed by the sugar. Boil until it changes color and becomes golden brown without stirring.
Turn off the heat and carefully whisk in the warm cream, followed by the butter and salt.
Drizzle over ice cream and enjoy.
Tips
If it becomes too firm, reheat briefly in the microwave before drizzling.
