Easy Vegan Falafel Balls Dish

Ingredients

  • 400g cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Handful of parsley
  • 1 tsp. Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. Ground coriander
  • 1 tsp. Chili powder (optional)
  • 2-3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
  • Pinch of salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (only needed for frying)

Preparation

  1. Use a high-speed blender or food processor to blend all ingredients until fairly smooth; add a bit of water or chickpea water if needed for moist consistency.

  2. Shape the mixture into falafel patties with your hands.

  3. Bake the patties in the oven at 185°C until golden brown, or pan fry them in a non-stick pan with coconut oil until golden brown.

  4. Enjoy the falafel; it can be baked for a healthier option.
