Easy Vegan Falafel Balls Dish
Ingredients
- 400g cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 small red onion
- 1 garlic clove
- Handful of parsley
- 1 tsp. Ground cumin
- 1 tsp. Ground coriander
- 1 tsp. Chili powder (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
- Pinch of salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (only needed for frying)
Preparation
Use a high-speed blender or food processor to blend all ingredients until fairly smooth; add a bit of water or chickpea water if needed for moist consistency.
Shape the mixture into falafel patties with your hands.
Bake the patties in the oven at 185°C until golden brown, or pan fry them in a non-stick pan with coconut oil until golden brown.
Enjoy the falafel; it can be baked for a healthier option.
