Easy Vegan Falafel with Herbs and Spices
Ingredients
- 400g cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 small red onion
- 1 garlic clove
- Handful of parsley
- 1 tsp. Ground cumin
- 1 tsp. Ground coriander
- 1 tsp. Chili powder (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
- Pinch of salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for frying)
Preparation
Use a high-speed blender or food processor.
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend until fairly smooth. Add a bit of water or chickpea water if needed for consistency.
Shape the mixture into falafel patties with your hands.
Bake in the oven at 185°C until golden brown or pan fry in a non-stick pan with coconut oil until golden brown.
