Hearty Stewed Beans with Sazón and Veggies
Ingredients
- 2 cans of beans (black and red kidney)
- 1/2 medium red onion
- 1/2 package of sliced mushrooms
- 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 2 tsp to 1 tbsp @eatloisa sazón
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- Handful of cilantro (optional)
Preparation
In a pan, cook mushrooms and onions until onions soften, about 3 minutes.
Add bell pepper, garlic, tomatoes and sazón. Stir to combine and heat up until fragrant, about five minutes.
Add in beans, and allow to cook for about 10-15 minutes on low heat.
Adjust seasonings as desired (if adding cilantro, add it in now so that heat of dish will naturally cook it down) and serve.
