Delicious Chewy Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (I always use salted)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped (or use chocolate chips)
  • 100g milk chocolate, chopped (or use chocolate chips)

Preparation

  1. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter to a bowl and mix to combine. Then add the egg and vanilla extract and mix.

  2. Sift in the flour, bicarbonate of soda, and salt, mix until smooth. Add chopped chocolate and mix again.

  3. Scoop dough onto a lined baking tray, leaving a 10cm gap between each cookie. Bake at 180°C/350°F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are slightly brown. Enjoy!

Tips

  1. Use half sheet baking trays and reusable liners for best results.

  2. Check your oven width to ensure trays fit; consider quarter sheet pans if they are too large.
