Frozen Chocolate Strawberry Cups

Ingredients

  • 500 grams chocolate (dark recommended)
  • 200 grams frozen strawberries
  • 7 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Preparation

  1. Start by making your jam. Place a pan on medium heat and add your frozen strawberries and maple syrup. Allow to cook for 10-15 minutes until it’s soft enough to beat with the back of a fork. Keep checking so it doesn’t burn.

  2. Once the strawberries have become mushy, add one tablespoon of chia seeds and set aside to cool and thicken.

  3. Melt your dark chocolate and line a muffin tray with muffin liners.

  4. Add one tablespoon of chocolate to each muffin liner and bring the chocolate up by one inch to the sides.

  5. Add one teaspoon of your cooled jam to the centre of each muffin liner.

  6. Cover up the jam with the rest of the melted chocolate, approximately one tablespoon each.

  7. Freeze for about 20 minutes for the chocolate to harden and enjoy.
