porridge with fruit

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 small zucchini, grated
  • 1 date or small banana, diced
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond
  • 1-2 tbsp coconut cream (optional)

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer

  2. Stir and cook for about 5 minutes or until oats are nice and fluffy

  3. Adjust salt to taste and if needed, feel free to sweeten more as desired

  4. Love to add some extra nut butter and fruit on top of mine for more flavor

  5. In case you’re wondering what the orange things are, they are golden berries

  6. They have a sweet/tart flavor to them
