Savory Chickpea Charcoal Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 4 tbsp rice flour
  • 3 tsp charcoal powder (I used @suncorefoods charcoal coconut powder)
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground garlic
  • 1 1/2 cup plant milk (or water)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Preparation

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Then add the wet ingredients, mix until well incorporated and let sit for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Warm up your waffle iron and brush a little oil. When ready, pour your batter and cook on the lowest heat possible for 6-9 minutes. You want to cook the waffles fully because nothing is worse than raw chickpea flour.

  3. Once ready, serve with whatever you desire and enjoy!
