Homemade Almond Hazelnut Butter
Ingredients
- 200g unsalted hazelnuts
- 200g unsalted raw almonds
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp coconut oil
- cinnamon (optional)
Preparation
Roast the nuts in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 170°C.
Let the nuts cool.
Transfer the nuts to a food processor along with the coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and cinnamon if using.
Mix in the food processor for 7-10 minutes until the desired runniness is achieved.
Store the nut butter in a jar with a lid.
Tips
Do not mix for too long to avoid a lumpy texture.
This nut butter can be added to smoothies, oatmeal, toast, or enjoyed as a snack with fruit for healthy fats.
