Homemade Almond Hazelnut Butter

Ingredients

  • 200g unsalted hazelnuts
  • 200g unsalted raw almonds
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • cinnamon (optional)

Preparation

  1. Roast the nuts in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 170°C.

  2. Let the nuts cool.

  3. Transfer the nuts to a food processor along with the coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and cinnamon if using.

  4. Mix in the food processor for 7-10 minutes until the desired runniness is achieved.

  5. Store the nut butter in a jar with a lid.

Tips

  1. Do not mix for too long to avoid a lumpy texture.

  2. This nut butter can be added to smoothies, oatmeal, toast, or enjoyed as a snack with fruit for healthy fats.
