Mak Ronggeng's Simple Yeast Bread
Ingredients
- 150ml warm water
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 250g all-purpose flour
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 egg
- 30g melted butter
Preparation
Mix all the yeast mixture ingredients and let the yeast rise until foamy
Combine the yeast mixture with the dough ingredients
Add the melted butter to the dough mixture
Knead the dough until it becomes elastic; add more flour if necessary until it is no longer sticky
Continue kneading by hand for about 20 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic
Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size
Shape the dough into desired bread forms and add toppings if desired
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown
Tips
You can add sugar, cheese, or other toppings as desired
This bread is traditionally kneaded by hand for best results
