Marinated Chicken Schnitzel

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 heaping tablespoon mustard
  • 1 heaping tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 heaping tablespoons yogurt
  • 2 heaping tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg
  • Some concentrated saffron
  • Assorted spices (salt, turmeric, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, curry powder, butter powder) to taste
  • Panko or bread crumbs as needed

Preparation

  1. Mix the mustard, mayonnaise, yogurt, saffron, and spices to create a marinade.

  2. Coat the chicken breast with the marinade and let it rest for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-3 hours for better flavor and tenderness.

  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.

  4. Dredge the marinated chicken in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with panko.

  5. Fry the chicken in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
