Rolled Mustard Greens with Meat Filling

Ingredients

  • mustard greens leaves
  • green onions

Filling

  • 400g minced chicken
  • 200g coarsely minced shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Sauce

  • BBQ sauce (I used la fonte)
  • extra hot sauce (delmonte)
  • soy sauce
  • oyster sauce
  • sugar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • thinly sliced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 large red tomato
  • 3 bird's eye chilies
  • lime or lemon juice to taste
  • water
  • butter

Preparation

  1. Boil mustard greens leaves for about 3 minutes until wilted in water with a little salt. Drain in cold water to stop cooking.

  2. Mix all filling ingredients and stir well. Stuff the mixture into the mustard greens leaves, fold the right and left sides, roll to the end, and tie with green onions. Drain.

  3. Meanwhile, sauté onion and garlic in butter until fragrant and wilted. Add tomato and all sauce ingredients. Add a little water and lemon juice. Adjust taste.

  4. Add the stuffed mustard greens rolls. Add a little water to cook through. Adjust taste and serve.

Notes

  1. This dish is quite healthy as it is not fried, only steamed and boiled with the sauce. Enjoy your meal.
