Savory Vegetable and Cheese Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cheese or cottage cheese
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 potato
  • Half bunch parsley
  • Salt
  • Red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2.5-3 cups flour

Preparation

  1. Set aside one egg yolk for brushing the top.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, milk, yogurt, and vegetable oil.

  3. Add the flour and baking powder, and mix well.

  4. Chop the potatoes, red and green bell peppers, and parsley into small cubes.

  5. Add the chopped vegetables and parsley to the mixture and stir.

  6. Add the cheese, salt, and red pepper flakes, and mix.

  7. Pour the batter into a greased large baking dish.

  8. Brush the top with the reserved egg yolk and sprinkle with nigella seeds.

  9. Bake in a 200 degrees Celsius oven until the top is golden.
