Tofu with Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- 400 grams silken tofu
- 100 grams shimeji mushrooms
- 100 grams ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 300 ml water or as needed
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 green onion
- Mushroom seasoning to taste
- Oil for sautéing as needed
Preparation
Fry the tofu until half-cooked, then set aside.
Sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant, cook the beef until the color changes, add the mushrooms, then add water.
Add the soy sauces, oyster sauce, sesame oil, pepper, cornstarch mixture, stir well, adjust the taste, and turn off the heat.
Arrange the tofu on a plate, pour the mushroom sauce over it, sprinkle with green onion, and serve warm.
Tips
No need to season the tofu when frying as it is already flavorful. If desired, add salt and sugar to make the sauce saltier and sweeter.
