Tortellini in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 500g tortellini
  • 600g tomato puree
  • 1 garlic clove
  • fresh basil
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant

  2. Add tomato puree, salt, and pepper, then simmer for about 10 minutes

  3. Meanwhile, cook tortellini in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente

  4. Drain the tortellini and add it to the tomato sauce

  5. Stir to combine, then serve garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese
