Turkish Beef and Bean Stew
Ingredients
- 2 cups dried beans
- 300 grams bone-in beef cubes
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper paste
- Salt
- 4.5-5 cups hot water
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation
Soak the dried beans in lukewarm water overnight with 1 teaspoon baking soda.
The next day, drain and rinse the beans.
Wash the meat and place it in the pressure cooker.
Cook until the meat releases its water and it evaporates.
Add olive oil, finely chopped onion, and green pepper, then stir.
Add the tomato paste, hot pepper paste, and salt, then stir.
Add the drained beans.
Add enough hot water to cover the beans slightly.
Close the lid and cook in the pressure cooker for 20 minutes.
