Turkish Zucchini and Meat Stew

Ingredients

  • 4 zucchinis
  • About 1/2 cup sunflower oil
  • 250 grams ground meat
  • 1 onion
  • 4 green peppers
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Salt to taste
  • Red pepper flakes to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper powder to taste

For garnish

  • Parsley or dill

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

  3. Add chopped green and red peppers and cook for a few minutes.

  4. Add ground meat and brown it, breaking it apart with a spoon.

  5. Stir in chopped zucchini and tomatoes.

  6. Add tomato paste, hot water, and spices to taste.

  7. Simmer the mixture until vegetables are tender, about 20-30 minutes.

  8. Garnish with chopped parsley or dill before serving.
