Date and Biscuit Sweet Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup ground biscuits
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cups pitted dates
- 1 cup clotted cream
- 2 tablespoons tahini
For coating
- Ground nuts
- Ground biscuits
- Toasted coconut
Preparation
In a medium-sized thick-bottomed pot, place the flour, biscuits, and cardamom
Place the pot on medium heat and stir until the flour and biscuits are toasted and the cardamom aroma rises
Add the butter and stir until it melts and is absorbed by the biscuits and flour
In a deep bowl, place the dates, clotted cream, and tahini
Mix the materials with your fingertips to get a smooth paste
Add the flour mixture to the date mixture and stir to get a homogeneous dough
Take a teaspoon amount of the dough and shape it into a smooth ball
In wide plates, place the ground nuts, biscuits, and coconut
Roll the date balls in the nuts or biscuits or coconut to coat completely
Place the date and biscuit sweets in decorated paper cups and serve
You can store the sweets in a sealed container until serving
