Simple Vegan Margherita Toast with Basil

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 big tomatoes
  • 2 handfuls of vegan cheese
  • Basil leaves
  • Plant butter, salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Cut the bread into 4 slices.

  2. Spread butter on one side of each toast.

  3. Wash and chop the tomatoes.

  4. Add tomatoes, cheese, and basil leaves on the bread.

  5. Drizzle with salt and pepper on top.

  6. Close both toasts with the buttered side outside.

  7. Cook on a pan for 2-3 minutes on each side at medium heat.

  8. Flip when golden, crispy, and when the cheese has melted.
