Creamy Steak and Mushroom Sandwich
Ingredients
- rapeseed oil
- Maldon salt and pepper
- 2 ribeye beef caps
- 60g salted butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 small brown onions
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- 80-100ml single cream
- mature cheddar (as desired)
- honey mustard and champagne
- handful chives
- 1 tsp truffle paste (optional)
- sourdough loaf
Preparation
Season the ribeye beef with salt and pepper, then roast in the oven until desired doneness
Sauté the onions with caster sugar until caramelized
Cook the mushrooms in oil or butter until softened
Prepare a cream sauce by heating butter, garlic, and cream together
Assemble the sandwich on sourdough bread with steak, mushrooms, onions, honey mustard, and cheese mixed with chives, then melt the cheese
