Easy Vegan Pizza Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (made my own, no yeast needed)
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce (I made my own)
  • 6 frozen meatballs (I used Gardein)
  • 1/2 cup shredded vegan cheese

Preparation

  1. Set oven to 375F.

  2. Prepare meatballs according to the package and then chop into small pieces.

  3. Taking your pizza dough, place dough on a smooth surface and flatten dough with a rolling pin to form a thin rectangular dough.

  4. Evenly spread pizza sauce over the top of the flattened dough.

  5. Sprinkle meatballs and cheese evenly over top of the dough.

  6. Starting at one end of the long side of the dough, carefully start pinching and rolling dough into a tight log like you would a cinnamon roll.

  7. Once fully rolled, cut the roll into 6 equal pizza rolls.

  8. Place rolls in rows of two in a bread pan.

  9. Place pan into the oven for 20 minutes.

  10. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle an additional handful of cheese over top.

  11. Place pan back into the oven for another 5 minutes to allow cheese to melt.

  12. Remove pan from oven and allow to set for 5 minutes.

  13. Cut pieces out to serve with extra pizza sauce.
