Falafel
Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas, rinse and drained (pat dry with a towel)
- 2 tsp cumin
- 3 tbsp rolled/quick oats
- 1/4 medium onion, diced
- 1 handful of cilantro, tough stems removed
- 1 handful fresh parsley, tough stems removed
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preparation
Take all ingredients and add to a food processor
Process the ingredients together until mixture is slightly crumbly, but sticks together very well (if you can’t form a ball without it falling a part then you should process it a little more
Take a small spoon full of the mixture and roll between your hands to make even looking falafel balls (should make 12)
You can cook the falafel in a preheated oven set at 400F for 25 minutes on one side then flip (please do it with a spatula to prevent the falafel from getting stuck and ripping) and bake for another 5 minutes or until golden
If using your airfrier, set temperature to 370 and allow falafel to cook for 9 minutes
Serve as desired
