Green Lentil Curry Ft Terrible Lightning


  • sunflower oil, 1.5 cup lentils, 3 cups water, 1 can coconut milk, 4 tomatoes, 2 cayenne, 1 small onion bulb, garlic, cumin seeds and spices (tumeric, coriander powder, hot curry, onion powder, garlic powder, chilli flakes, chilli powder, paprika) and a little soy sauce ( use salt instead, I wanted the sodium)


  1. In a pot, add your cumin seeds, diced onions and garlic and fry with a little oil. Toss in your spices and keep frying. Next add diced tomatoes and cayenne pepper. After a little while, add your lentils, coconut milk, water and more spices

  2. Keep the lid open until it boils, then reduce the heat and cover it then leave it to cook for 45 minutes

  3. Just before the 45 minutes are up, taste it and add apices as needed. I felt it needed salt and used light soy sauce to add something extra but you can skip that
