Orzo Pasta with Peas and Parmesan
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 stalks chopped green onion
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mixed spices
- 1 cup cooked peas
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Preparation
In a medium pot, put the oil and place it on medium heat. Add the onion and pasta, then stir with a wooden spoon for 3 minutes.
Add the broth, salt, and spices; stir to mix, reduce heat, cover the pot, and let the pasta cook for 13 minutes.
Add the peas, cover the pot, and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes.
In a serving dish, pour the pasta, sprinkle with cheese, and serve immediately.
