Orzo Pasta with Peas and Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 stalks chopped green onion
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 cup cooked peas
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Preparation

  1. In a medium pot, put the oil and place it on medium heat. Add the onion and pasta, then stir with a wooden spoon for 3 minutes.

  2. Add the broth, salt, and spices; stir to mix, reduce heat, cover the pot, and let the pasta cook for 13 minutes.

  3. Add the peas, cover the pot, and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes.

  4. In a serving dish, pour the pasta, sprinkle with cheese, and serve immediately.
