Apple Spiced Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- dash of salt
- 1 cup dairy free milk
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 heaping cup of shredded apple
Preparation
Combine all of the pancake ingredients in a large bowl
Set aside for five minutes so the batter can set
Then grease your pan with coconut oil and add about 1/4 cup of batter to the pan
Cook for a few minutes and flip
This recipe makes about seven pancakes
Make caramelized apples: 2 small apples, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp vanilla
Chop the apples into small pieces
To a pan, add the coconut oil, maple, cinnamon, and vanilla
Mix them well and then add the sliced apples
Cook until you see the apples start to caramelize
Usually about ten minutes over medium heat
Stack up the pancakes and add the caramelized apples on top
