Easy Homemade Burger Buns

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups warm milk
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1.5 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 5-6 cups flour

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients except flour thoroughly.

  2. Add flour gradually and knead the dough until it is neither too sticky nor too stiff.

  3. Let the dough rise covered for 1-2 hours.

  4. Shape the dough into burger buns.

  5. Let the shaped buns rise again for about 30 minutes.

  6. In a small bowl, mix one egg yolk with 3 tablespoons milk and brush it over the buns.

  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

  8. Bake in a 180-degree Celsius oven without fan until golden brown and cooked through.

  9. After baking, cover the buns and let them cool.
