Lamington Cake with Chocolate and Coconut Coating

Ingredients

  • Alalali pound cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • Strawberry jam or Alalali fruit jam

Chocolate sauce

  • 1 cup chocolate
  • 1 cup whipping cream

Coating

  • Coconut

Preparation

  1. Prepare the pound cake mix according to the package instructions.

  2. Pour the batter into a 25cm pan.

  3. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes with bottom heat.

  4. Allow the cake to cool, then cut it in half and fill with jam.

  5. Cut the cake into squares.

  6. Prepare the chocolate sauce by heating on low heat.

  7. Let the sauce cool slightly.

  8. Dip the cake squares into the chocolate sauce, then coat with coconut.

  9. Decorate with cream, Alalali chocolate syrup, and a cherry piece.

  10. Serve and enjoy.
