Protein Cinnamon French Toast Bake
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of French or white bread
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups of Neilson 18g Protein Beverage
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (divided)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- Maple syrup for serving
Preparation
Slice the bread into 1-inch pieces.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, 2 cups of Neilson 18g Protein Beverage, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Grease a large baking pan with butter and add the cubed bread.
Top with the egg and milk mixture and mix well.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar on top.
Cover with foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Remove the foil and bake the French toast in the oven for 45-50 minutes.
Remove from the oven, top with berries, and serve with maple syrup.
