Simple Baked BBQ Tempeh Strips

Ingredients

  • one block of tempeh
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • BBQ sauce

Preparation

  1. Take one block of tempeh and slice into thin strips.

  2. In a container add 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp water and 2 tsp maple syrup then stir to combine.

  3. Add tempeh strips to container and let sit for 30 minutes.

  4. Remove from container and place on a lined baking sheet.

  5. Baste tempeh with your favorite BBQ sauce.

  6. Flip tempeh and baste the other side with sauce.

  7. Place in a preheated oven at 400F and bake for about 15 minutes.

  8. Add extra sauce at the end or enjoy as is.
