Simple Baked BBQ Tempeh Strips
Ingredients
- one block of tempeh
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- BBQ sauce
Preparation
Take one block of tempeh and slice into thin strips.
In a container add 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp water and 2 tsp maple syrup then stir to combine.
Add tempeh strips to container and let sit for 30 minutes.
Remove from container and place on a lined baking sheet.
Baste tempeh with your favorite BBQ sauce.
Flip tempeh and baste the other side with sauce.
Place in a preheated oven at 400F and bake for about 15 minutes.
Add extra sauce at the end or enjoy as is.
