Vegan Tofu Fish Fingers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of spelt flour
  • 1 1/4 cups of water
  • 1 packet of tofu cut into soldiers
  • 3-4 seaweed sheets (ground into flakes)
  • 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of parsley flakes
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • Pepper
  • Sunflower oil for frying

Preparation

  1. In a bowl add the flour, seaweed flakes, paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, water and combine.

  2. In another bowl add bread crumb, parsley, 1/2 garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder and 1 teaspoon of salt and combine.

  3. Place the sliced tofu in the prepared batter and coat well. Remove excess batter and place in the bread crumb mixture.

  4. In a fry pan add the oil and fry. Place on absorbent paper.

Serving suggestions

  1. Best served warm. Drizzle with lemon juice.
