Protein-Rich Quinoa Dosa Alternative

Ingredients

  • 2 cups quinoa
  • 1 cup urad dal
  • oil for cooking
  • chutney for serving

Preparation

  1. Soak 2 cups of quinoa and 1 cup of urad dal in water, ensuring they are fully covered, and leave for 7-12 hours, then drain and rinse thoroughly.

  2. Place the soaked mixture in a blender and blend until the batter is thick and smooth with no bits.

  3. Pour the batter into a bowl, cover loosely, and leave to ferment overnight.

  4. Once fermented, check for a sour smell and doubled size, then mix the batter.

  5. Heat a griddle, add some oil, pour the batter in a circular fashion to form crepe-like pancakes, cook until done, and serve with chutney.
