Hearty Nutty Oat Breakfast Bowl
Ingredients
- 1/8 cup Bob's Red Mill GF Steel Cut Oats
- 1 tsp Navitas Organics chia seed
- 1 tsp Navitas Organics hemp seed
- 1 tsp Whole Foods flax seed
- 1/3 cup Bob's Red Mill GF extra thick rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Swerve sweetener
- pinch of salt
- 1/8 tsp cardamom (optional)
- 1/4 cup canned coconut milk
- Berries and Pomegranate
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Sliced almonds
Preparation
Stovetop method
Bring 1 cup water to a boil. Add in first 4 ingredients through flax seed. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Add in next 5 ingredients through cardamom and simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes until desired creaminess is reached.
Serve topped with remaining ingredients.
Overnight method
Combine all ingredients in mason jars. Let sit overnight.
Eat hot or cold.
This method yields an even nuttier crunchier oat texture.
