Vegan Sticky Sesame Cauliflower with Rice
Ingredients
- 1 small cauliflower
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup water
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Pinch of garlic powder and onion powder
Sauce
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 piece ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 cup vegetable stock
- 1 teaspoon cornflour
- 1 tablespoon water
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Mix the batter ingredients with the cauliflower to coat it thoroughly.
Place the coated cauliflower in the oven, spray with a little olive oil, and bake for 40 minutes or until golden.
Mix all sauce ingredients together.
Add the sauce mixture to a pan and bring to a boil.
Add 1 teaspoon cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon water to the sauce.
Turn the heat down to low and cook until the sauce reaches desired thickness.
Coat the baked cauliflower with the sauce.
Serve and enjoy.
