Homemade Nut Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1tbsp melted coconut oil

Preparation

  1. Add the almonds and cashews to a high speed blender (or food processor) and switch on for around 30 seconds, then scrape down the sides.

  2. Continue doing this; the nut mixture will start to clump together and eventually turn to nut-butter consistency.

  3. This may take a long time (up to 20 mins) and your blender may heat up a bit, but don't give up!

  4. To speed up the process, add in up to 1tbsp melted coconut oil - add this after the first few pulses as it will save you a lot of time!
