Chai Spiced Turmeric Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 250ml coconut milk (or less for nice cream)
  • 2 tbsp chai spice mix
  • 1-2 tsp turmeric
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or raw honey
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp macadamia butter
  • 1-2 large frozen bananas (optional)
  • 2-3 frozen coconut milk cubes or ice cubes (optional)

Preparation

  1. Heat the milk on the stovetop, bring to a quick boil, then reduce and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add chai spice, turmeric, and cinnamon, and steep for 3-4 minutes off heat.

  2. Whisk the mixture together and pour the milk mix into a blender along with chia seeds, maple syrup, macadamia butter, frozen bananas, and ice cubes if using.

  3. Blend everything together and pour into a large jar or bowl, then top with more cinnamon, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, or other toppings of your choice.
