Healthy Nut and Seed Granola Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup oats
- 1 1/2 cups mixture of nuts and seeds (I have used almonds, sunflower seeds and walnuts)
- 1/2 cup buckwheat grain
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 cup dried apricots
- 1/4 cup agave syrup or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
Preparation
Line an 8 inch baking tray with parchment and set aside.
Spread nuts and seeds on a lined baking tray and bake in the oven at 180℃ for 10 minutes. Alternatively dry roast in a pan on stove top.
Blend apricots, agave and water to a fine paste and transfer to a large bowl.
Combine dry and wet ingredients together and transfer to the prepared pan. Place parchment paper on top, smoothen and discard the paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180℃ for 20 minutes or till the edges brown a little.
Pull the tray out of the oven and let cool. Slice them into bars and enjoy the nutty and healthy bars.
