Homemade Red Kidney and Quinoa Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- salt and pepper
Preparation
Boil quinoa in pan until all the water has been absorbed then fluff it up with a fork.
Drain and rinse the kidney beans and place them in a large bowl. Mash thoroughly with a fork.
Dice and mince the onion and garlic and saute on a medium heat with a little oil for 2-3 minutes.
Add the chilli powder and cumin to the mix and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the whole mixture to the bowl with the beans and quinoa.
Shape the mixture into 4 burgers about 1 inch thick. These can then be pan fried or oven cooked to finish ☺️
