Homemade Red Kidney and Quinoa Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 can kidney beans⁣
  • 1/2 cup water⁣
  • 1 clove garlic⁣
  • 1 tsp chilli powder⁣
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin⁣
  • salt and pepper⁣

Preparation

  1. Boil quinoa in pan until all the water has been absorbed then fluff it up with a fork.⁣

  2. Drain and rinse the kidney beans and place them in a large bowl. Mash thoroughly with a fork.⁣

  3. Dice and mince the onion and garlic and saute on a medium heat with a little oil for 2-3 minutes. ⁣

  4. Add the chilli powder and cumin to the mix and cook for 2 minutes. ⁣

  5. Add the whole mixture to the bowl with the beans and quinoa. ⁣

  6. Shape the mixture into 4 burgers about 1 inch thick. These can then be pan fried or oven cooked to finish ☺️ ⁣
