Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz.) can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) drained, reserve liquid⁠⠀
  • 1/4 cup tahini paste⁠⠀
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice⁠⠀
  • 2 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped⁠⠀
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt (or himalayan salt) (to taste; optional)⁠⠀

Preparation

  1. Place chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt (if desired) in food processor or blender

  2. Pulse until very smooth

  3. If hummus is too thick, add 2 tbsp

  4. Of the reserved chickpea liquid and pulse again

  5. Repeat until desired consistency is reached
