Honey Grilled Beef Ribs
Ingredients
- 500g beef ribs
- 1 liter water
Boiled spices
- 2 stalks lemongrass
- 1 piece ginger
- 1 piece galangal
- 4 bay leaves
Ground spice complements
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon diabetic soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
Ground spices
- 7 shallots
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Basting sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet diabetic soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
Accompaniments
- Carrots
- Green beans
- Fried potatoes
Preparation
Wash the ribs thoroughly and boil them with water and the boiled spices until tender. If the ribs are not tender and the water reduces, add more water.
Once the ribs are tender, remove them and set aside.
Sauté the ground spices until fragrant. Add the ribs and the remaining boiling liquid. Then add the ground spice complements. Stir until the liquid reduces and the spices are absorbed. Taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat.
Coat the ribs evenly with the basting sauce. Grill them on a grilling device.
Serve the honey grilled ribs with the carrot, green bean, and fried potato accompaniments.
