Simple Tomato Pasta with Garlic and Basil

Ingredients

  • olive oil
  • 3 big cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 small chillies, sliced
  • 350g cherry tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 2.5 to 3 cups hot pasta water
  • big handful of basil leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • additional olive oil
  • 400g cooked pasta

Preparation

  1. Heat olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add minced garlic, sliced chillies, and chopped cherry tomatoes to the pan.

  3. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  4. Add 2.5 to 3 cups of hot pasta water.

  5. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  6. Add basil leaves, salt, pepper, and a few more tablespoons of olive oil to the sauce.

  7. Cook for another minute.

  8. Add cooked pasta and mix everything together. Enjoy!
