Sunshine Turmeric Porridge Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Oats (gluten-free)
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • 1/4 cup Plant-based milk (almond or soy)
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds or ground flax seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger

Toppings

  • FODMAP-friendly nuts
  • A few fresh fruits

Preparation

  1. Add oats, chia seeds or flax seeds, turmeric powder and spices into a bowl.

  2. Pour over hot boiling water and let sit for 10-20 minutes.

  3. After the liquid has been absorbed, add a dash of plant milk and microwave for a few minutes if desired.

  4. Top with fruit, coconut shreds, and FODMAP-friendly fruit.
