Warm Red Carrot Kheer
Ingredients
- 3 big red carrots
- 1 litre milk
- 1 tablespoon cardamom powder
- Sugar to taste
- Nuts of choice, such as pistachios
Preparation
Grate the red carrots.
Boil the milk and add the grated carrots.
Cook slowly for 1 to 1.5 hours until the carrots are well cooked.
Add the cardamom powder and sugar to taste.
Add nuts as desired.
Serve warm.
Tips
Straining the kheer will yield carrot milk, another popular way to consume it.
