High Protein Sprouted Chickpea Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sprouted kala chana
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • A bunch of palak
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon coriander cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 cup besan
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Butter

Burger spread

  • Hung curd
  • Salt
  • Peri peri powder

Assembly components

  • Cheese slice
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Burger bun

Preparation

  1. Blend the sprouted kala chana, green chillies, ginger, garlic, palak, onion, and spices into a mixture.

  2. Add besan and lemon juice to the mixture and form into patties.

  3. Cook the patties in butter until golden and cooked through.

  4. Mix the hung curd, salt, and peri peri powder to make the spread.

  5. Assemble the burger by placing the patty on a bun, adding the spread, cheese slice, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
