Desi Style Tawa Burger

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tsp oil
  • 1 small butter cube
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 small ginger knob, finely chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 medium bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • 4 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 2 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 100 gm paneer
  • Burger bun
  • Red chilli powder
  • Chopped coriander

Preparation

Making the filling

  1. Heat 1-2 tsp oil in a pan.

  2. Add a little butter.

  3. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds.

  4. Add 1 finely chopped small ginger knob.

  5. Add 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves.

  6. Add 1 finely chopped medium sized onion.

  7. Add salt as per taste.

  8. Saute well until it is golden-brown.

  9. Add 1 finely chopped medium sized bell pepper.

  10. Add 1 tsp pav bhaji masala and mix it.

  11. Add 4 finely chopped medium sized tomatoes.

  12. Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.

  13. Add 1/2 cup green peas.

  14. Add 2 tsp tomato ketchup.

  15. Add 2 boiled and mashed medium sized potatoes.

  16. Add 100 gm paneer and mix it well.

  17. Turn off the heat and add chopped coriander.

Assembling the burger

  1. Take a burger bun and apply butter.

  2. Add stuffing in the middle and cover the bun.

  3. Heat oil and a little butter in a pan.

  4. Add finely chopped garlic.

  5. Sprinkle pav bhaji masala and red chilli powder.

  6. Add chopped coriander.

  7. Toss the burger in this masala.

  8. Enjoy the desi tawa burger warm.

Tips

  1. This burger works for tiffin, snacks, or dinner and never fails.
