Spicy Indian Fusion Pasta

Ingredients

  • Water
  • Oil or butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bowl pasta
  • Some cumin seeds (optional)
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Red chilli powder to taste
  • Some shahi paneer masala, garam masala, or tikka masala
  • Small piece of finely chopped capsicum
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • Approximately 1 tablespoon fresh cream or yogurt
  • Some grated cheese

Preparation

  1. Heat a pan to boil the pasta and add water

  2. Add some oil and salt to taste

  3. When the water begins to boil, add 1 bowl of pasta and cook until al dente

  4. Heat another pan to make the gravy and add some oil or butter

  5. Add some cumin seeds if using

  6. Add 2 finely chopped garlic cloves

  7. Add 1 medium sized finely chopped onion

  8. Add salt to taste and roast well

  9. Add a pinch of turmeric powder

  10. Add red chilli powder to taste

  11. Add some shahi paneer masala, garam masala, or tikka masala and mix

  12. Add a small piece of finely chopped capsicum

  13. Add 3 tomato puree and cover with a lid to cook the vegetables

  14. Add approximately 1 tablespoon fresh cream or yogurt and mix

  15. Add water if the gravy is too thick

  16. When the pasta is done, drain it in a strainer

  17. Add the pasta to the gravy and mix well

  18. Place the pasta on a serving plate and add some grated cheese

  19. Top with a coriander leaf
