Spicy Indian Fusion Pasta
Ingredients
- Water
- Oil or butter
- Salt to taste
- 1 bowl pasta
- Some cumin seeds (optional)
- 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- Red chilli powder to taste
- Some shahi paneer masala, garam masala, or tikka masala
- Small piece of finely chopped capsicum
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- Approximately 1 tablespoon fresh cream or yogurt
- Some grated cheese
Preparation
Heat a pan to boil the pasta and add water
Add some oil and salt to taste
When the water begins to boil, add 1 bowl of pasta and cook until al dente
Heat another pan to make the gravy and add some oil or butter
Add some cumin seeds if using
Add 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
Add 1 medium sized finely chopped onion
Add salt to taste and roast well
Add a pinch of turmeric powder
Add red chilli powder to taste
Add some shahi paneer masala, garam masala, or tikka masala and mix
Add a small piece of finely chopped capsicum
Add 3 tomato puree and cover with a lid to cook the vegetables
Add approximately 1 tablespoon fresh cream or yogurt and mix
Add water if the gravy is too thick
When the pasta is done, drain it in a strainer
Add the pasta to the gravy and mix well
Place the pasta on a serving plate and add some grated cheese
Top with a coriander leaf
