Air Fryer Paneer Pakoda

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions
  • Finely chopped coriander
  • 100 grams paneer
  • Finely chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Red chili powder to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds powder
  • Pinch of asafoetida powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 2 tablespoons semolina
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • Pinch of baking soda (optional)
  • Oil

Preparation

  1. In a mixing bowl, take 2 medium onions cut into medium pieces.

  2. Add finely chopped coriander.

  3. Add 100 grams paneer cut into small cubes.

  4. Add finely chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies.

  5. Add 1 teaspoon coriander seeds.

  6. Add 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds.

  7. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.

  8. Add red chili powder to taste.

  9. Add 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds powder.

  10. Add a pinch of asafoetida powder.

  11. Add salt to taste.

  12. Add 1/2 cup gram flour.

  13. Add 2 tablespoons semolina.

  14. Add 2 tablespoons rice flour.

  15. Add a pinch of baking soda if using.

  16. Combine everything well together.

  17. Add a little water to bind the mixture.

  18. Place parchment paper in the air fryer and grease with oil.

  19. Put small portions of the mixture in the air fryer.

  20. Brush some oil over the pakodas.

  21. Air fry for approximately 18 minutes at 180°C, checking once after 9 to 10 minutes.

  22. Take the pakodas out on a serving plate and enjoy with green chutney.

Notes

  1. Use less water for air frying to keep the mixture thick; add more water if adapting for regular frying.
