Street-Style Biscuit Masala Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • A pinch of asafoetida powder
  • Some turmeric powder
  • Some grated ginger
  • Some boiled grated potatoes
  • Some lemon juice
  • Some finely chopped tomatoes
  • Some finely chopped green or red onions
  • Some finely chopped coriander
  • Some finely chopped mint leaves
  • Some biscuits
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Some green chutney
  • Some sev

Preparation

  1. Heat up the pan and pour 1/2 tsp oil in it.

  2. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.

  3. Add a pinch of asafoetida powder (optional).

  4. Add some turmeric powder.

  5. Add some grated ginger.

  6. Add some boiled grated potatoes, mix well and turn off the stove.

  7. Sprinkle some lemon juice on it, transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it rest for a while.

  8. Add some finely chopped tomatoes.

  9. Add some finely chopped green or red onions.

  10. Add some finely chopped coriander.

  11. Add some mint leaves (optional) and mix well.

  12. Apply some oil on your palms and shape the mixture into small cutlets.

  13. Take two biscuits, place some tomato ketchup and a cutlet on one biscuit, apply some green chutney on the other and place it down gently.

  14. Optionally, add cheese if desired.

  15. Apply some chutney to the sides of the sandwich and dip it in sev or a mixture of chopped tomatoes, coriander, and onions.

  16. The Masala Biscuit Sandwiches are ready.
