Refreshing Morning Tonic with Ginger Lemon and Cayenne

Ingredients

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1-inch fresh ginger root, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Preparation

  1. Bring water to a boil.

  2. Add sliced ginger, lemon juice and hot water to a mug.

  3. Pour hot water into the mug and allow to steep for 5 minutes.

  4. Add a dash of cayenne, and parsley (if using).
