Spiced Blackberry Mulled Wine Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brandy (could also do bourbon)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 package of Driscoll’s blackberries
  • Zest from 1 orange + orange slices
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Star anise
  • Rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients except rosemary in a large pot

  2. Heat gently over medium-low heat until hot, do not boil

  3. Simmer for 10-15 minutes to infuse flavors

  4. Strain if desired and serve warm in mugs, garnished with rosemary sprigs

Notes

  1. Brandy can be substituted with bourbon for a different flavor
