Spiced Blackberry Mulled Wine Drink
Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup brandy (could also do bourbon)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 package of Driscoll’s blackberries
- Zest from 1 orange + orange slices
- 4 Cloves
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 2 Star anise
- Rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Preparation
Combine all ingredients except rosemary in a large pot
Heat gently over medium-low heat until hot, do not boil
Simmer for 10-15 minutes to infuse flavors
Strain if desired and serve warm in mugs, garnished with rosemary sprigs
Notes
Brandy can be substituted with bourbon for a different flavor
