Festive Christmas Chai
Ingredients
- 1 handful fir needles
- 650ml plant-based milk
- 2 peels of an orange
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp green cardamom pods
- 4 cloves
- 1 tsp dried ginger
- Pinch of black pepper
- Splash of maple syrup
Preparation
Heat up the plant-based milk in a pot.
Lightly crush the green cardamom pods.
Mix all the ingredients, including the crushed cardamom pods, into the milk.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about seven minutes.
Pass the mixture through a sieve to remove the solids.
Optionally, decorate with a cinnamon stick, additional fir needles, or add plant-based whipped cream on top.
