Festive Christmas Chai

Ingredients

  • 1 handful fir needles
  • 650ml plant-based milk
  • 2 peels of an orange
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tbsp green cardamom pods
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 tsp dried ginger
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Splash of maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Heat up the plant-based milk in a pot.

  2. Lightly crush the green cardamom pods.

  3. Mix all the ingredients, including the crushed cardamom pods, into the milk.

  4. Bring the mixture to a boil.

  5. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about seven minutes.

  6. Pass the mixture through a sieve to remove the solids.

  7. Optionally, decorate with a cinnamon stick, additional fir needles, or add plant-based whipped cream on top.
